Here is a FREE resource that will help you organise your studies and professional career like a professional Librarian, a resource I use daily.

Evernote is a free web-based “scrapbook” which has dedicated app’s for PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android so that you can access it any time or anyplace.

It works by allowing you to save web clippings, documents (word, xls, pdf etc), pictures etc and then assign specific “tags” to them so that you quickly find everything when needed. It is a resource increasingly being used by lawyers:

JustCite Certification Training (Google for Lawyers!)

This is your chance to obtain a certificate to add to your CV demonstrating proficiency using the widely used legal search engine JustCite. Last time we ran a JustCite non-certificated session at the start of term, it was oversubscribed!

This is your opportunity to lean about the resource and most importantly, how to use it effectively, at the same time gaining a useful Certificate of Proficiency.

JustCite is a legal search engine and a citator - it allows you to go directly to documents on Lexis and Westlaw and it also links to important free access sites, like BAILII and Eur-Lex.

We will be hosting two, two-hour sessions on Thursday 2^nd February 2012 in Library IT Room A. Each of the session will be facilitate by JustCite trainer Ben Newton and will cover everything you will need for the online test, which you will take in the second half of the session.
